Kid Pulls Own Tooth Like a Boss

The updated version of the ol' "door knob" method used when we were kids now involves using Nerf guns.

Frog Playing Video Game

Remember that video of the lizard playing video games we posted the other day? This one is waaaay better. Thank TheWeazmeister for the laugh!

FedEx Response to Monitor Throwing Video

FedEx has responded to the video that caught a driver throwing a LCD over a customers fence. Yeah, it's scripted and seems more like a "oops, we got busted" apology but hey, at least they made things right with the customer. You can see the original video here.

AMD Radeon HD 7970 Reviews

As far as the specs go, the new Radeon HD 7970 is based on AMD's new 28nm GCN architecture Tahiti GPU with a total of 4.31 billion transistors, 2048 shader units, 32 ROPs and 3072MB of memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface. The GPU ended up clocked at 925MHz while memory works at 1375MHz (5.5GHz). As far as the product positioning goes, performance and price-wise, the new Radeon HD 7970 is placed between Nvidia's flagship single-GPU GTX 580 card and AMD's dual-GPU Radeon HD 6990 card.

Bill Gates, Windows 98, Blue Screen of Death

Okay, this is the last Windows flop, we promise. Bill Gates was showing off Plug N Play on a beta version of Windows 98 in front of a large audience. Bam! BSoD.

MorpHex Robot

Luckily for us, the MorpHex Robot is completely harmless, in fact it will even dance for you and interact with its environment. Unfortunately, one thing it isn't capable of doing, is rolling around in its ball form, though Halvorsen says that function is coming in the future. Powered by 25 servo motors, the MorpHex is quite an advanced robot, despite its creepy skittering nature.

Best FedEx Delivery Ever

Quote "Here is a video of my monitor being "delivered". The sad part is that I was home at the time with the front door wide open. All he would have had to do was ring the bell on the gate. Now I have to return my monitor since it is broken."

Left 4 Dead Fan Film

Ten days back, we directed your attention to the teaser for a promising live-action Left 4 Dead fan film. Well the 10-minute short is now live, and it's packing more twists than a bag of Twizzlers. Reload, grab a health pack, and check out Francis, Zoey, and Louis (with a few surprise guests) in Left 4 Dead: Impulse 76 below:

N5 Entertainment, Airsoft GI (yes that Airsoft), Film Matters, and Condor Outdoor made Left 4 Dead: Impulse 76 over a "near freezing weekend" in November. Yes, the above short was shot in a single weekend. Not too shabby.

Crazy Christmas Lights

These high tech Christmas displays are one of the things that I look forward to every year during the holidays. Then again, I'm not this guy's neighbor, I'm sure they probably dread this time of year.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare

Poor old Alan Wake will face "a full night" of enemy waves baying for his blood, with only scattered safe havens and unlockable weapons for comfort. Alan's arsenal ranges, Remedy says, "from old stalwarts like the flare gun to wild new favorites like the nail gun and old school Remedy favorites like the Uzi." Max Payne would be pleased.

As well as, you know, not dying, Alan will be trying to rack up mega-points to place high on the online leaderboards. Take it from me: the life of a writer is never easy. Alan Wake's Extended Nightmare is slated to launch on Xbox Live Arcade in the first quarter of 2012, around the same time as the long-awaited PC edition of the original Alan Wake.

Lizard Play's a Touchscreen Game With Its Tongue

Check out this video uploaded to YouTube by user 'ThatSpecialGuy.' The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Australian Philip Gith, the man behind the username, filmed his bearded dragon 'Crunch' playing a bug squishing game on his phone. Gith says he has another bearded dragon, but it's not as interested in the game as Crunch.

Gith says he's had all sort of people contact him about the video, including the from the folks at Good Morning America. He says that other people on YouTube have posted video responses that show them trying to get their dragon to do the same thing to no avail.

Gears of War 3

Last night was by far the best time I had yet playing Gears of War 3. Started playing the Single player Campaign on insane last week for a hour or two a day and got stuck on Act IV Chapter 2, couldn't pass the damn level because it was really hard with no ammo. So I started working on the combat engineer Ribbon that gives you infinite ammo mutator in Arcade mode and two friends that I met last week asked me did I need a hand. When we got the Chapter loaded there was only one slot left open that found the extra player for a total of four players.

When we got to Act V Chapter 6 the last boss fight it started out really good only to be really Crazy Insane at the end just about two hours to pass the damn level and all we needed was three more Hammer of Dawn strikes ya two hours I couldn't be leave it. At the end I didn't know what the fuck was going on but managed to kill the damn Queen. Over all the Xbox 360 was worth every penny now to fine the other collectables and finish playing the first three Acts in Coop to get the Achievements.

Zero Punctuation: Oblivion

When I started to play The elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and put about 20+ hours in the game I started to notice bugs, and I mean big bugs ones that had something to do with the main quest. I tried really hard to over look them but couldn't. At the end the hole game turned out to be a big bag of shit and look at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This video I found wasn't on YouTube at the time but I managed to fine it.

Why "Battle Field 3" SUCKS!!

So last night after I was done playing Gears of War 3 I fired up the Netbook and picked around the World Wide Web. I came across this video on YouTube and boy wasn't it funny. Why because I'll never play anything like Battlefield or Call of Duty again. The up loader don't have much on this channel but this one makes up for it.

Microsoft Source Claims New Xbox Arriving in 2013

For a while we've seen speculation and insider-based rumors that point to a June 2013 reveal of the next-generation, Windows 8-based Xbox console, the Xbox Next, Xbox Loop or Xbox 720, whatever it's called. It will officially come out of the closet during E3 2013 and then likely ship towards the end of the year. It will also feature an OS based on Windows 8, essentially nuking any rumor claiming the console will be available before September of 2012.

The 2013 release schedule is based on two factors. First, a supposed leaked roadmap pins the "Loop" launch down to Build 2013. So far this roadmap has been nearly dead on, previously pointing out that the public beta of Windows 8 would launch sometime around CES 2012 Microsoft actually confirmed the date to be February.

The Doctor Who Cloned Me' DLC

On Tuesday, 2K Games announced the release of Duke's very first downloadable expansion pack, The Doctor Who Cloned Me. Now available for $9.99 on the PlayStation Network Store, Xbox Live Marketplace and Windows PC, the new content is "bursting with hours of the over-the-top Duke goodness that fans love."

"Deep in the heart of Area 51, Dr. Proton has been hatching his maniacal plan," reads the description. "Fueled by new ego boosts, Duke is ready to take on evil clones, alien queens and anything else that comes his way in order to save the world and his babes! This full, new single-player campaign includes brand new weapons, all-new enemy types and bosses, more Achievements/Trophies and many more interactive items within the world."

Star Wars Galaxies Final Hour

So last night when I was playing Gears of War 3 on Insane I was listening to On the Spot's podcast and at the every end they mentioned Star Wars Galaxies Final Hour. I jumped on the video right away, not that I like playing MMO's but just wanted to see it go down. This happen many times before and will only continue for MMORPG's I see no reason to play MMORPG's or Free to play games.

I felt real bad about it at first and I never played the game, this could of happen to anyone that put that much time and money in the game until I watched a video that was host on GameSpot's Live Play. This reminded me of the Angry German Kid but instead for Screaming she was crying or Leave Britney Alone! I found Seth Green version better.

I love when she starts fucking everyone and to top it off fuck all of them. I gotta say if I every turn out to be like this kill me, sure I love playing games and more then ever now but come on the game wasn't that amazing there's better games out there then Star Wars Galaxies what about Star Wars: The Old Republic. LoL

20 Great Games for Under $20

In today's gaming landscape where so many of the must-have new releases launch at 60 dollars, it's great that the PC is loaded with a ton of affordable alternatives. There are a lot of great games out there that cost less than twenty bucks apiece. Who cares about Battlefield 3 when we can get three, four, five, or even more games for the same price?

True diamonds, but with a cubic zirconia price tag, these games span a variety of genres, from turn-based strategy to first person shooters to tower defense. They’re all great games, and all cost less than twenty Washingtons.

Gears of War 3: RAAM's Shadow Review

Anyone who beat the first Gears of War is likely to remember the name RAAM. This lumbering Locust general served as the tough end boss of the game that launched a franchise, and now he's back as the primary antagonist of the first downloadable campaign for Gears of War 3, RAAM's Shadow.
You alternate between clearing the way for an evacuation as a new squad of Gears and playing as the titular character himself, wreaking havoc on the human soldiers who oppose you. The action is predictably great, with a few chuckles and some novel thrills, but the uneven pacing and disconnected setting make this feel like a step back for the franchise.

Left 4 Dead Fan Trailer

Fan-made films almost always turn out to be incredible pieces of work. Without the Hollywood budget and production crew, all there is to create the perfect fan-made film is an undying devotion to the project. Take for example the fan-made Portal film we caught a glimpse of a couple of months ago that left us all dying to see more.

Although this is just a teaser for a possible full length Left 4 Dead fan-film, the production quality looks spot on. It may not have had the budget of films such as the Resident Evil series or television shows such as The Walking Dead, but this fan-made teaser is able to capture the gruesome Left 4 Dead world perfectly.

Created and produced by N5 Entertainment, this teaser has certainly left us craving for more zombie carnage. Let's just hope its director Adrian Picardi and producer Eric Ro move forward to create a full length film. If the quality for the film is anywhere close to as great as its trailer, N5 could have a huge success on their hands.

Borderlands 2’s Talking Holiday Card in Action

I really enjoyed playing Borderlands but never had the time to finish the DLC, now would be the time with Borderlands 2 coming 2012 next year. Kotaku received a Borderlands 2 Christmas card yesterday from 2K Games and Gearbox.

Nvidia

Fired up the PC today only to have problems with the Nvidia card the screen started to flicker and then with a Blue Screen of Death. Disable the second Monitor and disconnected all USB Drives. Started with the services and when booted it safe mode to uninstall the Nvidia driver. Everything worked fine until I started Windows normal again even with Windows driver getting load from the driver.cab folder the system still would flicker with a Blue Screen of Death. Open the Task Manager found WMPSideShowGadget.exe and WMP running tweaked them from starting reinstalled the Nvidia drive and now everything seams to be fine.

Played a little bit of Tomb Raider Anniversary until I couldn't make the jump with the Controller or with the fucking keyboard man this game is gone for ever, never will I play this game again or for that matter use it as a test. I guest there's only one thing left and that's play Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II. I was going to work on this laptop I have here now for two days until I ran in this Shit, fire it up after I guest another easy $30 waiting.

Command & Conquer Generals 2

At the Spike Video Game Awards, EA revealed that Victory Games is now BioWare Victory, and the studio's current project is Command & Conquer: Generals 2. As a result of the rebranding, the PC-exclusive game also qualifies as the new BioWare project that had been teased in the weeks leading up to the VGAs. The game has been given a 2013 release window.

Big Change

It's well over two weeks that I posted anything here because Gears of War 3 took all my time Yes I got the Xbox 360 Token Bundle with five games and picked up Gears of War 3 two days after. The games that came with it was Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Alan Wake, Fable III and Halo Wars for $299 this sale was happening on Black Friday. Tomb Raider Anniversary on the PlayStation 3 well what can I say about that lets start with the Resolution 720P Vs PC, black and grey colors no color what so ever and no it ant my HDTV screen, the first Game ant playable by no means really low Frame Rate the game just any worth playing at all.

The PlayStation 3 is noting like the Xbox 360 especially when it comes to Gears of War but they have Uncharted and God of War that really shines so the PlayStation 3 don't really suck but could be better, at this point I would pick the Xbox 360 over any Gaming console on the market also when it comes to online gaming. Started playing Tomb Raider Anniversary again on the PC and now looking at Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II I just hope this game don't turn out to be a pane in the ass like Sid Meier's Civilization IV time will tell. Also thinking about firing up Left 4 Dead 2 again there's still a lot of people playing this game on the PC.

PC Gaming Sucks!

I think this will be the last time I'll be posting anything here about PC Gaming because this fucking time I'm done! Three days trying to finish the stupid ass tutorial in Civilization IV. I couldn't be leave how long and how much stuff there was to a stupid game I can't play shit like this anymore, it goes to show that I hate playing MMORPG's RPG's and stupid games like Civilization Jesus! help me. I see no future left in PC Gaming No buddy with Mics, dumb ass Text spamming the Screen, Cheaters, Fuck Faces that think there something on there cheap ass $2 server playing like fuck faces well you just do that because I'm done with people like that I don't even think I'm going to turn on the computer anymore just so sick of this fucking machine and what it has to offer. Again I'm out money because I can't fine something good to play I just wish I hadn't sold the Xbox 360 man I was stupid, again it was hacked so it kind of had to go.

PC Gaming

Well here I go again about Gaming on the computer I couldn't finish playing Tomb Raider Anniversary sitting behind a desk on a hard chair and Yes its a Computer Chair not a cheap one ether playing with a Controller. The days of gaming for me are done on the PC I see no reason to play games by your self anymore. The PC is not dead just fucked the only reason to play games on the PC would be games like Command and Conquer, Star Craft II, Civilization, Dawn of War II, The Sims 3 where the Keyboard makes sense anything outside of that can be and would be more enjoyable in the Living Room on the Consoles Xbox or PlayStation well at lease to me anyway. Call of Duty MW3 may of sold $775 Million worth of games but I can tell you that they sold NO more then $2 Million worth on the PC and the rest was on the Consoles.

I'm thinking hardly about the Xbox 360 bundle with five games and Gears of War 3 because I hate playing games on the PC by my self, as you can tell I have no friends well not real ones Virtual Yes continuing like this it's just going to make me rip the computer apart. I have no more respect for the computer hell if someone asks me to look at there PC and that's if I look at it there charged $20 the first time I press the Power button on the machine and I don't care what the fuck is going on I just do what they ask. I'll be getting Tomb Raider Trilogy for the PlayStation 3 and truly enjoy it, O you can't get it on any other system but the PS3 unless you buy them single for the PC and Xbox.

Arkham City Inspired Test

Quote Being a fan of the new Batman Arkham City game, I thought this video was pretty neat. Someone send this girl a Catwoman or Batgirl outfit. Big grin I can't wait for the PC version of this game to come out next week. This is why I started to like Hardocp.com just something different to watch and read I hope you enjoy the video as much as I'm going to enjoy the game.

Consoles

Microsoft might be revealing there new console at CES January 2012 next year along with Windows 8 followed with a Beta and I can't wait especially for the New console. Whats going to be New besides the Metro interface that's going to be in the dashboard update coming soon more support for Kinect, Windows Phone 8, DirectX 11, Blu-ray support would be nice and I really hope it's backward compatible with older Xbox 360 games. Gears of War 3 would be good enough for me, I cant see Microsoft killing backward compatibly on there newer console will have to wait and see what happens but there's one thing for sure I'll be getting one. I really hope Sony launch's there new console Next year because Microsoft would too but I doubt it.

Benchmarks

The Core i7-3960X and Core i7-3930K at $990 and $599 crushes the AMD FX-8150, hell the Core i7-2600K can easily beat AMD FX-8150 bulldozer. Would I ever pay $990 for a high end CPU from Intel No, if I had to build a system today I would pick the Core i7-2700K with the higher clock speed and still beat AMD FX-8150 over all the scores don't lie check out the Review from Maximum PC, Xbitlabs and Anandtech below. Listening to Maximum PC podcast and they there talking about HDD prices going up so I headed over to Newegg to be shocked, the Seagate Barracuda Green ST2000DL003 2TB 5900 was $79 some where around there now there priced at $229 I could of got two for the price of one a month. The prices are that high now a 500GB would run you in $149 this flood in thailand is crazy.

More Work

Windows 7 maybe rock sold but I just continue to see the work that's needed to be done like in Disk Management NO Extended Partitions just Simple the only way to create a Extended Partition would be to use disk part in the Command Prompt, why the hell did Microsoft do this I had to create the partitions using Disk Management then Convert them using EASEUS Partition Master. If I would format the partitions using Microsoft's Disk Management it would be only a simple format aka Primary Partition noting to do with Extended Partition with Logical drives in the Extended Partition. Also the Start Menu right click on a Icon Pin to Start Menu, if Privacy is disabled in the Start Menu Tab under Taskbar and Start Menu Properties you can NOT show all the Pined Icons because Privacy is disabled. Enabling the settings gives you the options to select how many you want to show using Start Menu Size again what a mess and I though to get away from the Quick Launch I guest I was wrong. Will I be getting Windows 8 Yes but it wont be my main OS, I'll be keeping Windows 7 until there's a new DX update or something better then what I have now.

Clean Start

Windows 7 (64-bit) is here Newegg has really fast shipping when it comes to small things but how long before the COOLER MASTER HAF 912 case shows up, I say two weeks from now because I waited along time for the other case that's basically a Network Attach Server - Digital Media Server (NAS/DMS). Now its time to install Windows 7 but before I do that somethings need to be cleaned before I proceed like format all the partitions keep applications light, what ever can go portable will be done. That way updating becomes easier witch I only do once a month and just about all the top applications are portable, will I use them all not really but having them there on hand can come in handy one day. Why I'm getting a new case because I had heating issues with the Video Card usually in the summer plus this case and hardware will be handed to the girlfriend when I build a new system in 2014. Also having a big ass case on the desk is over for me they belong in the floor not on the desk with loud fans spinning, that's something I'm also looking into for the next system build Water Cooling and its not like the Cooler Master Cosmos II can't handle Water Cooling.

Dead Space 2

I finally finished Dead Space 2 without using Nvidia's inspector to enable anti aliasing and just stuck with the in game anti aliasing. I sit back using the Razer Onza Controller to play the game that way the image looked clear, the game turned out to be good but it felt been there done that and I did. The first six chapters where fast after that it started to get good until I got to chapter ten the ship you where on in the first game. I hate playing something I played before and the other six chapters where really fast well for me at lease, three or four new guns two where really good enemies where noting new well not after they where in little pieces on the ground. I found the first Dead Space game better but the online for the Dead Space 2 made up for it again noting new for me the online felt more like Left 4 dead but with different enemies and guns so Over All 8.5 Watch the Video Review below, Next up Tomb Raider Anniversary.

Gigabyte X79 3D UEFI

Flicking through the feeds below and came across Gigabyte 3D UEFI on anandtech Gigabyte is trying something a bit new with its X79 UEFI: a simplified "3D" UI. Instead of navigating through lists and sublists of options, Gigabyte's new 3D BIOS interface gives you a picture of your motherboard with a few predefined, highlightable sections. You can hover over and click on the SATA ports for example to bring up a list of SATA related configuration options. The same applies for rear IO, memory, PCIe, voltage regulators and naturally the CPU socket. Now this is something that's really Cool well at lease to me anyway.

God of War Origins Collection

Ran the Credits on God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta and I gotta say the game was awesome it's without a doubt a must play if you own the PlayStation 3. Chains of Olympus reminded me more of God of War one where Ghost of Sparta reminded me of God of War 2 with that said all of them should be played, this game takes place before God of War one but should be played after GOW 2. At first Chains of Olympus felt really short but Ghost of Sparta made up for it with nine hours of game play, I like the fact you can play through the game again with the Bonus Costumes but hate the fact you must play the game on hard to unlock the others Bonus Costumes that's something I don't care for. Over All 8.5 if I was to rate Chains of Olympus it would get 8.0 Ghost of Sparta would get 9.0 you can watch the Video Review on online. Next up Dead Space 2 I hope this time I can finish the game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

Running through the News on Gamespy and came across this, It seems the Ukrainian developer of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise is following UbiSoft's lead when it comes to combating PC game piracy (and making gamers' lives that little bit more frustrating). GSC Game World studio head Sergey Grigorovich has revealed his team plans on implementing a fairly extreme form of digital rights management (DRM) for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, which forces players to download the game in small installments as they progress through the story.

Looks like that's one game I wont be buying any time soon just like Assassin Creed 2 Permanent internet access is required on the PC. This is why having a console around can come in handy, has much as I would like to play Assassin Creed 2 on the PC I have to play it on the PS3 because I want to own the game not rent it as you play. Not everyone has Permanent internet so with that said I like to own the Games I buy.

Windows 7 (64-bit)

So two weeks later I finished testing Windows 7 (64-bit) and now its time to order it, I'm also trying my best to hold my guns from going crazy with the OS. I was digging around the Sevenforums and came across some posts that I posted and couldn't be leave how heavy I was in the OS. All this to me is noting more then a game and I love it, do Windows intimidated me like it did three years ago NO I just continue to see the work that's needed to be done. Example like two Taskbars one for the main monitor and second monitor something Windows 8 has, Pause when copying files to a USB/HDD drive or over a network again something Windows 8 has. Aldo you can easily use apps like TeraCopy and Display Fusion for dual monitors I just wish Microsoft stop playing this game because they wont be able to continue doing this in the long run, just stop and think about it Windows 7 has everything you need plus more.

Favorites

Why I removed the Favorites Page because all the URL's can be found in Top Application folder in bookmarks, I found it to much time messing about with URL's when there already exist in the bookmarks. I also added Windows page that will be linking tutorials for Windows 7 now that I have it. What have I been up to the last few days stilling testing applications you must think how much software does this guy use will just about all of them in Top Applications folder. The money I made from repairing PC's I bought Onkyo HT-S3400 5.1 got the system setup and I must say the high and lows are really good it has everything the last 5.1 theater add plus more link below. Also I'm really trying hard not to go crazy with Windows 7 because there's a lot of new things for me to play with I just don't know why I'm like this but I love doing it, this time I'll be going in with a clean fresh start on everything. All my games work great I though I would lose a nice bit of them but it turns out they all work plus the top applications but one that got replaced with TrueCrypt and some that was better then before or wasn't need.

Memtest86

After I finished testing out Windows 7 (64-bit) I added the other 4GB's of RAM today I had laying round. I have 4GB's in the system now so this would give me 8GB's total, downloaded Memtest86 and on test 5 it would just start dumping errors like crazy after trying different sticks I said all my ram can't be bad and it turns out it ant found the problem just now after I played Crysis for like two hours with DirectX 10 witch by the way looks amazing. I also ran Windows Memory Diagnostic from Windows and the test came back clean just to be on the safe side.

Quote Doctor Four I think I may be on to something: I tried each of the DIMMs individually in the first slot (A1). Each time I got the same errors at the end of test 5. Then I tried moving the single DIMM to the second slot (A2), and it got through test 5 without any errors. And right now it is running the tests and is up to test #6 and error free. It appears that even though Asus says to use slots A1 and B1 for better overclocking compatibility, the DIMMs are already at their maximum clock speed and don't appear to be able to handle running in slots A1 and B1. The DIMMs are currently in slots A2 and B2. So it appears that if you are not going to overclock the RAM, you would use the black rather than the yellow slots.

Update: After putting the DIMMs in slots A2 and B2 (black slots), it got through the entire Memtest-86 tests without any errors. This bit is not documented anywhere in the manual for the P5Q SE Plus. The only thing the manual says is to install the DIMMs in the yellow slots for better overclocking capability.

Windows 7 (64-bit) Rock Solid

Man what a week this has been after the Rage with Lara Croft Tomb Raider Anniversary and with all that Rage I moved on to Windows 7 (64-bit). A total of six days testing, installing, rebooting and much much more plus on top of that I got sick two days ago and its only breaking now. All drivers for the ASUS P5Q Pro installed with no problems and just about all my favorites Top applications work excellent, there was just one I lost and that was Microsoft Private Folder witch got replaced with TrueCrypt.

The networking couldn't get any easier the only thing I did was join my workgroup fired up the Cmd and everything fell in place really nice. I did run in some problems with sharing the printer over the network but that was also easily to over come. The PC Games was really time consuming the list can be found below, I did run into some problems and I though I would lose a lot of PC Games upgrading to Windows 7 (64-bit) but it turns out every game worked great I also tested the Razer Onza TE gaming controller I have here the same time. When I started testing I disabled User Account Control (UAC) and Aero theme.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season Three

Every Tuesday there's ether updates from Microsoft or DVD's today I though there was DVD's but it turns out it was Star Wars The Clone Wars Season Three way better then the first three star wars movies not the old ones. Anyway I'll be watching this tonight and installing Windows 7 (64-bit) the same time Awesome, like a kid in the candy store. Also Asuite does work Windows 7 so again everything is looking good, it's really nice moving forward also Windows 7 will be out two years Oct 22, 2011 just in time. That way I'll get five or six years out of the OS with three hardware upgrades not the full PC just Motherboard CPU and Ram.

Future

So last night I moved all my data from the Western Digital D1001FALS Black (NAS) backup drive on my server two a Seagate Barracuda Green ST2000DL003 2TB drive because I'm installing Windows 7 (64-bit) on the WD1001FALS Black and 8GB's of RAM in my system. Since I only have Dead Space 2 left to play and noting else I said the hell with it I'm moving on to something new enough living in the past a nice clean start on everything, the only applications I want to work are DVD Shrink, ASuite, and WordPerfect 12 I know it's old but it has all I need. All my Top Applications also work with Windows 7 even my Mouse and Keyboard support (64-bit) looking good.

DONE!

This won't be long fired up the PC today and started Dead Space 2 only to have the game all fucked up I'm guesting it was the tweak to enable better anti aliasing because all games are console ports, so with all of that shit I been trough the last four or five days I done for good. The PC is not a gaming machine just for casual games like Command and Conquer, The Witcher 2, StarCraft II and The Sims 3 witch by the way looks better when you can enable anti aliasing through Nvidia's Control Panel NOT through utility's like Nvidia's inspector what a wast of time this has turned out to be. At this point I much rather give them $59.99 for the Console at less I would have trophies or achievements. What I doing now uninstalling every game on the PC I'm fucking done, can't wait for the new PSVita this year or the next ether way I be getting one plus the new Xbox next year I'll be more then willing to give Microsoft $500 the first day of launch never again will I look at PC Gaming like I did six years ago. The PC is NOT a Gaming system and no I'm not talking about playing two games for 14 months OK PC Gaming is Fucked! R.I.P PC.

DONE!

Playing GTA IV without anti-aliasing support might as well play the damn thing on the Console I already had it for the Xbox 360 but never finished it, so I said I'll get it on the rebound for the PC and I wish I hadn't. Come on what console ports it's got that bad now I can't keep looking up How to enable anti-aliasing or spending 40 mins plus six or seven times rebooting the fucking games I done with this. Dead Space 2 I guest will be with me for along time it's the last one I'll be playing on the PC. Hell The Sims 3 looks better then GTA IV at lease I can enable anti-aliasing through Nvidia's control panel. Also I'll get Windows 7 April 2014 when Windows XP supports ends. I'm also getting back into consoles more then ever and keeping my blog Xbox-existence up to date noting else to do with the PC beside rip edit and burn or listen to music, might pick backup where I left off with Windows 7. Taking back Grand Theft Auto 4 Liberty City I'm sick of console ports not hard to become a console fan boy just keep selling us this shit on the PC, said it before and I'll say again PC Gaming is Fucked! So total I spend about one week fucking around with settings the last 6 years I much rather have no anti-aliasing support for consoles then put up with this. Tessellation and anti-aliasing support have been available over 10 years I think you can fine a Article on tomshardware about this something I didn't know. Don't worry there be lots of DirectX 11 games to come when the New Consoles launch next year and I'll be first in line. R.I.P PC

AMD C-50 Radeon HD 6250

Customer finely came for the notebook I did last week, was there that all I forgot about it. What had to be done burn the Manufacturer's restore four disc total that would of ran them $85 in town, I couldn't be leave it what high prices to charge someone. I also cleaned up the system like removing Bloatware dumping logs checking them, updating the system looking for firmware updates the same old performance and maintenance routine. They have other one coming next week same thing performance and maintenance routine, this one will be cheaper then $60 because the girlfriend gives the prices $25 should be good enough. I'm also thinking about getting the Onkyo HT-S3400 5.1 Channel Home Theater system because the one I have now is ten years old so time for upgrade.

How to Enable AA in Dead Space 2

As a result of the basic edge-detect AA method, Dead Space 2 suffers quite badly from jagged edges and pixel creep. These problems aren’t all that obvious while on the move but if you stand still you’ll definately see that most straight edges in the game are jagged. The issue is of course exacerbated by the fact that you spend most of the game in boxy corridors with lots of straight lines. Unfortunately it’s not possible to change the method of AA the game uses via the in-game menus. In fact the only AA option available is a simple on/off toggle in the Visuals menu. As a result you’ll need to get down and dirty in your graphics driver if you want the game to look its best.

PC Gaming Update

Just got done reading the rant below and I can't be leave I wrote that I must of been feeling really mad, tell you the truth that didn't sound like me at all it kind of shocked me how I was feeling about PC Gaming now these's days. There is one part that I didn't like and that was Stupid people NO ones stupid or dumb only the ones that don't ask questions. I got around to installed Dead Space 2 and I can tell you the feeling came back the one I got from playing Batman Arkham Asylum witch is really nice also the Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional controller work with no problems not that I care. I brought back Mafia 2 and Sid Meier's Civilization IV to get God of War Origins Collection that was $39.99 did I lose no because there's two PSP games remaster on one Blu-ray disc and had enough to buy a coffee. I can get Civilization IV on steam for little or noting so I'll get that one on the rebound, Mafia 2 on the other hand ant worth the time I much rather play GTA IV then Mafia 2 so I'm happy again.

Act of War Direct Action

So today I installed Act of War Direct Action only to fine out that the game don't support widescreen. Enabled up scaling couldn't see noting hard on the eyes and 4:3 was way to small also the controls are noting like command and conquer. Google Act of War Direct Action widescreen and there's no fix but yet they where talking about a patch to support widescreen. Downloaded the patch and noting worked so with that I removed the game, besides this was the last one that I had laying around that was old. So with that said I don't live in the past for anyone or anything and I wont lose any sleep over it, Next up Lara Croft Tomb Raider Anniversary at lease this ones widescreen I don't have to worry about 4:3 any more because I don't live in the past noting but the future, I have like 20+ games that are no good to me any more because of 16:9-16:10 Vs 4:3 in a crate upstairs now the next step will be Windows 7-8 how much games am I going to lose because of this upgrade again I "don't care" I don't live in the past noting but the future.

DARKVOID

Just ran the credits on DarkVoid and I can see why IGN and Gamespot give it a low score, the game is really really short five or six hours of game play. There's three Episodes five chapters total the flying was OK upgrade guns like you would do in every game so that's not new, cover a duck something like Gears of War and there's noting wrong with that because I love cover and duck in FPS or fly around with the Jet pack and shoot them from above again something I never really had time to play or get into before so fighting this way with a gun was a nice change from the run of the mill shooters out there. Six guns total two of them felt good shooting but the sniper suck big time and the enemies ant all that smart. I know why the other reviewers give it a low score because at $49.99 and five hours of game play that would make you feel like you got ripped off, but I got it for $6.97 and for that price I'm giving it 6.5. Next up Act of War: Direct Action an older game that I had for away so I think its time to play it.

Prototype

Just ran the credits for Prototype and I'm happy it's over, there was like seven side quests left and I didn't think it was worth the time to finish them for upgrades that didn't help you in the long run. With that said the side quests repeated over and over noting new so the best plan would be upgrade the powers that count the most and not spend the XP on stuff that you'll never use or remember because there's just to much upgrades. At the end of the game you have the chance to complete the other sides quests and play through again with the upgrades you got from the first play though, might play a new game with all the upgrades when Prototype II comes out next year just for the hell of it. Over All the game gets 7.5 could of been better again I got this game for $1 from Wall-Mart it was over flow they said, can't go wrong with that I guest.

RAGE

Rage is what the game has created for many PC gamers and I can't blame them, first I'm going to start with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion from Bethesda the game was amazing for the first six hours but after that the game went to shit. Over 2000+ bugs within the game Bethesda knowing about the problems and letting them go so the open community had to fix them plus Fallout 3 one of the worst games I ever played, run around with your head cut off. Put it this way after the nuclear warhead was set off I stopped playing the game Why I'm not running around really really slow to get from point A to point B, think again I'm noting playing games that long for anyone sorry maybe someone without a life would but I'm not. I also seen a Doom 3 2005 Vs RAGE 2011 image and you would say the graphics close up where from 2003 wow again it's all about consoles just Stop!

BulletStorm

Just Ran the credits on BulletStorm the game turned out to be really fun but it felt like Gears Of War at first and was also short, Seven Acts two and three Chapters to one Act I wish it where longer. There's also On-line that I have tried out, you and three other players are in one small place killing the same way you do in the Single Player. I also had texture problems I think it was the Anti-aliasing that where putting Black box's around the gun and in the rain plus the game crashed three or four times. Over All the game gets 8.0 way better then Prototype.

Prototype

Well I just installed BulletStorm because Prototype was getting to me Why after you put about five hours in the game it seams to be repeating itself over and over, same side quests that just give you XP to unlock upgrades and most of them you'll never use plus the sound is really low. I been playing this game over three weeks now and I can't take any more of it, especially when the game crashed on me today. Plus its not like I paid $49.99 for the game I got it for $1 that's right from Wal-Mart it was over flow they said. So over all the game gets 7.5 I hope the next one have better quests and not repeat the same thing over and over, I'll come back to it after I done playing BulletStorm and Dead Space 2. What else have I been up to just finish that PC I build out of Spare parts and selling for $200 OBO. Just had a customer come by with his laptop and made a easy $15 again awesome now its time to play BulletStorm.

Codenamed Claremont

Intel has named its solar-powered CPU, which it showed off a few days ago Codenamed Claremont Intel managed this by using a technique to apply voltage to a silicon chip called Near Threshold Voltage. This is based on the idea that processors have plenty of voltage to ensure that the transistors within switch with no trouble. However if you cut the applied voltage to be just above the required level.

Windows 8 BUILD

Next year 2012 is going to be a good one Windows 8 RC should be released around January and I can't wait. What's new in Windows 8 a lot including Metro that I can't stand and the stupid Ribbon interface, Connected Standby, build in USB 3.0 drivers, touch interface for Metro + OS, Internet Explorer 10 with HTML5 Hardware Acceleration NO Flash support, Fast boot time, Nice boot manager and less system requirements then Windows 7, memory Performance 281MB with Windows Defender build in, ISO mounting, Facial Recognition, Pattern Login, updated Task manager with start up Programs Thank God No more msconfig, System Reset, App Store Plus PDF Support NO more Adobe Reader Thank God Again.

Hardware - News

Last week I pulled the plug on Maximum PC's website just to much crap, usually after I'm done reading Tomshardware and Fudzilla there would be something good but it turns out its the same head lines plus there stupid Chrome add-on of the week and stuff from there magazine that I already read, so I decided just to flick through the site fast. Before I was all over the News every day now Wednesdays and Fridays are the only time I read the News no more every day crap. Also I read Noting on the weekends Noting I don't care if AMD bought out Intel I'll read it Wednesday or Friday same way about hardware just run through the benchmarks and get it over its not like I buying hardware every month. Over the last 3 months or so Tomshardware and Fudzilla is doing the same Friday 5:00 PM everything's shut down and that's the way is should be all over the World Wide Web NO one Cares about this shit on weekends OK. Found a cool site to replace Maximum PC with and its called HardOCP News is light and fast Just get to the point and move on, time means to much to me to be messing around with crap like I did over the years No More!

Intel Developer Forum (IDF)

What a busy it has been the last few weeks and now with Intel Developer Forum (IDF) Plus Windows 8 Build. Just finished watching IDF and I must say what's to come in the near future is going to be really cool Intel unveiled additional details about its research x86-compatible Near-Threshold Voltage Processor (NTVP) that uses novel ultra-low voltage circuits. Near-Threshold Voltage Processor (NTVP) will be showing its self off in Haswell CPU in 2013 and I can't wait, why because everything there revealing will be in my 2014 System Build. There's one thing I didn't like and that was the stupid Ultrabook aka another Netbook, Notebook or Laptop like we don't have enough of them now. Seen the inside of one at Windows 8 Build and its more battery then PCB.

Microsoft Security Essentials

One of my customers show up with his Laptop wanting to know about Anti-Virus software. Opened the laptop to fine AMD's new dual core APU with integrated graphics HD 6000 running Windows 7 64-bit from Acer and asked him when did you buy this, he said about three months ago I replied cool the laptop was nice and light with a LED Screen about 4 Ibs total, over all it was really nice to see AMD's hardware because most of the time its all about Intel. After I was done geeing out over the hardware I got around to the Anti-Virus software that was installed witch was McAfee Anti-Virus.

Ubuntu 11

After I restored the firmware back to the WD Scorpio Black WD2500BEKT that was Soft Mod or Hacked for the Xbox 360 I installed Ubuntu on that HDD in a Acer aspire one netbook everything was going fine until the Browser was open couldn't watch any video but YouTube the Ad's alone slowed down everything. When there was noting running CPU Usage 13% 15% never once did it fall, tweaked Power settings everything I could do. At the end I decided netbooks, Smart Phones and Tables are noting more then garbage and ARM Chips are Too. ARM Processor is going to replace Atom Processor's in 3 years LOL OK You keep thinking that.

ASUS M2N68-AM Plus

What can I say about Tiger-direct well lets start with the packing I really hate how they pack there hardware in the box when it comes to Newwegg and NCIX. Motherboard flat on the bottom of the cardboard box with paper on top the motherboard box the board looks OK, I'll fine out soon enough. Just finished building a PC last night with spare parts laying around now time to build another.

PowerPoint Viewer 2007

A Customer just showed up with his Laptop looking to open a .pps file in Windows Live Mail that Windows Media Center was opening, so after downloading PowerPoint Viewer 2007 and opening it just guest what it was porn really nice girl but wow all of that for porn.

Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection PC version delayed

Warner Bros has announced that the PC version of Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection has been delayed until next month. The publisher does not reveal the reason behind the delay.

Vacuum Vs Compressed Air

About two days ago I had a customer phone me and they said after I was done cleaning out the PC with the Vacuum and turned on the computer, there was noting on the screen. I said to my self what and then replied you shouldn't of did that, jumpers could of been sucked right off the pins, voltage regulator module (VRM) damaged or worst get shocked.

WDTV Live Plus

Where can I start about this peace of crap, well it does what I want OK but the support this device needs is way out of control. Firmware Version v1.06 just messed up the Audio, before I could have SPDIF Optical Only when playing MP4 file from Gamespot now I have to exit out the video and go through settings to change it from SPDIF to Stereo and back to the video again.

Windows 8 Launching in "Coming Months"

Windows 8 beta launching this year, have lots to do this fall if Microsoft launch's. I'm guesting it's going to be in the same time frame as Windows 7 ether way I'm looking forward to this beta. After I spend sometime with Windows 8 and getting to know what's new I'll pick up a copy Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and Windows 7 Inside Out Deluxe Edition.

Sony's PSVita

Why would I give them $249 for a bucket of old hardware that I have up stairs in the crate, that's why Nintendo slashed $80 off there 3DS Handheld. On top of that Mummy, Mummy I want the 3DS, didn't you get one seven months ago NO your not getting another one Sorry!

World in Conflict

Just ran the credits for World in Conflict's Single Player and the game turned out to be really good but I had the feeling it was more training for on-line then anything, over all Great Game. Might take it on-line and have a look into World in Conflict Soviet Assault but it has a bad review. What's next Prototype waiting for the Razer Onza Tournament Edition Professional Controller.

Upgrading and Repairing PC's 20th Edition

By far the best summer in four years I though Summer 2009 was good. Looking for links to Upgrading and Repairing PC's 18th Edition and came across the 20th Edition that got Published Aug 16, 2011 tree days ago getting it for Christmas without a doubt.
