Razer Unveils Deathstalker Ultimate Keyboard

Back when Razer first announced the Razer Blade gaming laptop, many gamers were unhappy with the price and the specs of the device, but the Razer Switchblade User Interface was certainly enticing. Luckily for anybody deterred by the Blade's price and hardware, the company is now offering its Switchblade interface its newest keyboard, the DeathStalker Ultimate.

With ten fully customizable tactile keys with dynamic displays and a separate 4.05" LCD touch screen, the DeathStalker Ultimate takes everything we love from the Razer Blade and puts it right in the numpad area of your keyboard. Like the laptop, the LCD panel also features track pad and customizable gesture support for secondary mouse input.

In addition to the Switchblade features, the keyboard comes with: chiclet style key caps, tri-color led backlighting, 1000Hz ultrapollling, anti-ghosting, braided cable, five additional macro keys and a dedicated gaming mode. With a price tag of $250, the Deathstalker Ultimate is definitely one of the pricier gaming keyboards out there, but at least it isn't as expensive as the Optimus Popularis.

Aliens: Colonial Marines Tension Trailer

Oh man, that "ping" of the marines' motion sensor. The faster the pings get, the closer we are to something serious going down. Seeing and hearing it in this trailer for the upcoming Gearbox designed Aliens: Colonial Marines automatically sets me on edge. Which is good, because the trailer is called "Tension." Makes sense.

In between images of marines blowing the faces off crawling aliens, the friendly folks behind Colonial Marines explain how they're adapting the Aliens franchise into a game. They've got a whole bunch of the original art team advising them to make things look and feel as legitimately Aliens as possible.

Hitman: Absolution Contracts Mode Trailer

Basically, it works like this: You set a mark, a disguise, and gear. Your buddies do their best to follow your instructions to make the kill in a set time limit. Those who follow the orders exactly get paid more cash than those who stray from the recommended course of action.

Sounds like a pretty great way for players to get a heck of a lot of play time out of Hitman: Absolution. Every week, IO Interactive will be choosing the best contracts they can find and challenging players to complete them perfectly. Top players will get cash to spend on new weapons or disguises, plus the bragging rights that come with being one of the world's most formidable assassins.

Crysis 3's New Multiplayer Mode, Hunter

One of the key elements to hunting is making sure your prey has no idea you're onto them. Normally, that involves camouflage. In the world of Crysis 3, it involves active camouflage. Much more effective. And you'll get to use that technology to its full potential in Crysis 3's Hunter multiplayer mode, which pits two, er, hunters in Nanosuits against 14 CELL agents, armed with nothing more than a few weapons. The CELL agents have to survive long enough to get to an evac point, while the hunters are around to make sure that doesn't happen.

There's a twist, though. While the hunters are vastly outnumbered at the start of the match, every CELL agent they take down will respawn in a Nanosuit, ready for action. Like so many zombies, they'll descend upon the remaining CELL players, ready to kill.

Team Fortress 2 Mann Vs Machine Mode Announced

On August 15th (that's two days from now, if you're not near a calendar), mortal enemies Red and Blu will unite against a common robotic Gray foe. Valve announced today that Team Fortress 2 is getting a horde mode in which both teams will make a last stand against waves of bomb-carrying mechanical enemies, up to and including giganto versions. We don't yet know specifics, but we'll be getting new maps, multiple objectives, and some type of ability upgrades as a match goes on, and there's a promise of "incredible loot" to be earned. And, as is TF2's custom, it'll all be free.

Borderlands 2 Classes and Weapon Manufacturer Trailer

I'm going to miss Mordecai. We spent many hours together in the original Borderlands, sniping, vault hunting, and sicking Bloodwing on bandits and space bugs. I wish we could continue our adventure in Borderlands 2, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. The Assassin is taking the Hunter's slot in the upcoming loot fest, and that's not the only class swap Gearbox has in mind. Get an overview of the new cast of characters at your disposal in the latest trailer for Borderlands 2.

Sounds crazy given the thousands of weapon customization options available in the original Borderlands, but when it came right down to it, there really wasn't a discernible difference between the many shotguns, sniper rifles, and hand cannons manufactured by the likes of Hyperion, Dahl, and Jakobs. Gearbox aims to fix that issue in Borderlands 2, making each weapon brand look, feel, and do damage in its own unique way. Start choosing your brand now with the help of three trailers-as-commercials for Maliwan, Tediore, and Vladof.

These are just three of the weapon manufacturers in Borderlands 2. We also know there will also be Bandit, Jakobs, Torgue, Dahl, and Hyperion. We'll update this post with any future trailers/details to help you decide which brand to support. I'm a Jakobs fan from the original, but so far, I'm buying what Maliwan is selling.
