20 Great Games for Under $20

In today's gaming landscape where so many of the must-have new releases launch at 60 dollars, it's great that the PC is loaded with a ton of affordable alternatives. There are a lot of great games out there that cost less than twenty bucks apiece. Who cares about Battlefield 3 when we can get three, four, five, or even more games for the same price?

True diamonds, but with a cubic zirconia price tag, these games span a variety of genres, from turn-based strategy to first person shooters to tower defense. They’re all great games, and all cost less than twenty Washingtons.

Gears of War 3: RAAM's Shadow Review

Anyone who beat the first Gears of War is likely to remember the name RAAM. This lumbering Locust general served as the tough end boss of the game that launched a franchise, and now he's back as the primary antagonist of the first downloadable campaign for Gears of War 3, RAAM's Shadow.
You alternate between clearing the way for an evacuation as a new squad of Gears and playing as the titular character himself, wreaking havoc on the human soldiers who oppose you. The action is predictably great, with a few chuckles and some novel thrills, but the uneven pacing and disconnected setting make this feel like a step back for the franchise.

Left 4 Dead Fan Trailer

Fan-made films almost always turn out to be incredible pieces of work. Without the Hollywood budget and production crew, all there is to create the perfect fan-made film is an undying devotion to the project. Take for example the fan-made Portal film we caught a glimpse of a couple of months ago that left us all dying to see more.

Although this is just a teaser for a possible full length Left 4 Dead fan-film, the production quality looks spot on. It may not have had the budget of films such as the Resident Evil series or television shows such as The Walking Dead, but this fan-made teaser is able to capture the gruesome Left 4 Dead world perfectly.

Created and produced by N5 Entertainment, this teaser has certainly left us craving for more zombie carnage. Let's just hope its director Adrian Picardi and producer Eric Ro move forward to create a full length film. If the quality for the film is anywhere close to as great as its trailer, N5 could have a huge success on their hands.

Borderlands 2’s Talking Holiday Card in Action

I really enjoyed playing Borderlands but never had the time to finish the DLC, now would be the time with Borderlands 2 coming 2012 next year. Kotaku received a Borderlands 2 Christmas card yesterday from 2K Games and Gearbox.

Nvidia

Fired up the PC today only to have problems with the Nvidia card the screen started to flicker and then with a Blue Screen of Death. Disable the second Monitor and disconnected all USB Drives. Started with the services and when booted it safe mode to uninstall the Nvidia driver. Everything worked fine until I started Windows normal again even with Windows driver getting load from the driver.cab folder the system still would flicker with a Blue Screen of Death. Open the Task Manager found WMPSideShowGadget.exe and WMP running tweaked them from starting reinstalled the Nvidia drive and now everything seams to be fine.

Played a little bit of Tomb Raider Anniversary until I couldn't make the jump with the Controller or with the fucking keyboard man this game is gone for ever, never will I play this game again or for that matter use it as a test. I guest there's only one thing left and that's play Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II. I was going to work on this laptop I have here now for two days until I ran in this Shit, fire it up after I guest another easy $30 waiting.

Command & Conquer Generals 2

At the Spike Video Game Awards, EA revealed that Victory Games is now BioWare Victory, and the studio's current project is Command & Conquer: Generals 2. As a result of the rebranding, the PC-exclusive game also qualifies as the new BioWare project that had been teased in the weeks leading up to the VGAs. The game has been given a 2013 release window.
